About me

I asked for oil paints for my 10th birthday. I’m not sure why — I’d never used them before — but something about them called to me. My first painting didn’t turn out the way I imagined, but I didn’t give up. That moment began an on-and-off relationship with painting that’s followed me ever since.

I’ve never studied art formally. Everything I’ve learnt has come from experience — from watching, feeling, failing, trying again. Over time, I found real joy in working with the painting rather than trying to control it. I no longer fuss over detail; instead, I build layers, texture, and light until the piece tells me it’s finished.

Since 2020, I’ve painted exclusively with a single palette knife — my favourite tool, now worn-in like an extension of my fingers. I work with it intuitively, using angles and pressure to sculpt emotion into the canvas. My hands, my face, even my clothes often wear the story of the work. It’s not tidy. It’s honest.

My paintings are not of specific places — they are memories, sensations, quiet moments felt rather than seen. I want my work to offer stillness. To evoke calm. To spark a memory or an emotion you didn’t know was still there. Each painting is layered with time and observation, and I hope each one gives something new every time you return to it.

I paint to feel. I paint to remember.
And now, finally, I paint to share.

Let’s connect

If something in my work speaks to you — or if you’d like to ask about a painting, a commission, or simply say hello — I’d love to hear from you. Fill in the form and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
